How do I know if I need restorative dental work?

  • If you experience tooth pain, sensitivity, visible decay, chipped or cracked teeth, or missing teeth, it’s advisable to consult with Dr. Lizette Barzaga. Regular dental check-ups also help identify potential issues before they become major problems.

What is the difference between dental crowns and bridges?

  • Dental crowns are individual caps that cover a damaged tooth, while dental bridges replace missing teeth by anchoring artificial teeth between two dental crowns. Both are effective restorative solutions to enhance dental function and appearance.

Are dental implants a suitable option for me?

  • Dental implants are a great option for individuals with missing teeth who seek a permanent and natural-looking solution. However, candidacy depends on factors like overall health, bone density, and oral hygiene. A consultation with Dr. Lizette Barzaga can help determine suitability.

How long does it take to get a dental crown?

  • The process typically involves two appointments. During the first visit, the dentist prepares the tooth and takes impressions. A temporary crown is placed. The second visit involves fitting and cementing the permanent crown, usually within a couple of weeks.

Can restorative dentistry improve the appearance of my smile?

  • Yes, restorative dentistry not only enhances oral function but also improves the aesthetics of your smile. Procedures like dental veneers, crowns, and bridges can address cosmetic dentistry concerns while restoring dental health.

Can I eat normally with dentures?
